From the car park take one of the gaps in the hedge onto the footpath. Turn right and head downhill.When you get to the opening shown in the picture on the right,take the path on the right of the hedge and carry on downhill as picture below left.

A house appears on your left and you cross their drive. Follow the path shown in the picture on the right down to the road. Turn left and pass the pub,at the farm building shown in the picture below right,carefully cross the road into South Lane.

Head down the road to the bottom and go through the gate,picture above middle and turn to your right. Follow this footpath, picture above right and below left with the river now on your left.

Eventually a wall will come into sight on your right, picture on the left. When you reach the gate in the picture on the right,carry straight on past it. After the gate picture below left you come out into an open field, picture below right.

At the bottom of the field take the path shown in the photo on the left.When you reach the farm buildings keep going then take the opening shown in the photo on the right.Now turn sharp right,as picture below left.Turn left at the road and follow it round to the church,(This is South Stoke) taking the track at the end that leads you to the river.

Cross over the bridge and take the stile on the left shown in the picture on the right. Now walk along the river bank,picture below right.

At the trees take the footpath on your right picture above left. Follow the path through the trees until you reach the bridge shown in the picture above right,cross over and head straight ahead over to the road.Turn left and immediately right.Pass the houses on your right and take the footpath on your left,picture below.

The path through the trees swings to the right and brings you back to the river,picture on the left.At the river turn right.

Walk towards Houghton Bridge and take the stile shown in the picture above that takes you to the road.

Turn left once on the bridge and cross over to the other side of the road taking the stile on the right, picture above middle. You now walk the river bank opposite the caravan park,passing the bridge in the picture above

When the river bends of to the right, picture on the left,you drop down to the gate shown in the picture above.

Follow this path to the road and turn left eventually arriving back at the main road. Turn right pass in front of the pub and take the track that you came down at the start of the walk back to your car. The sign shown in the picture on the right directs you back to the path so you don't go up someone's drive.
