Start of walk

From the Whiteways car park take the track into Houghton Forest. Picture above. Keep going along this track until you reach the junction in the picture on the right. Take the left fork and keep straight on ahead. It crosses a wider track and then starts to climb up hill. Yellow x on picture is your path.

Keep going uphill as the picture on the left eventually leveling out a bit as you head up the Dentures. Picture on the right

As you get nearer to Bignor Hill you get an open field on your right . Picture on your left.
Which brings you to the junction in the picture on the right. Where you turn to your right and in 100 yards, you will be at the car park on Bignor Hill by the Bignor Way Post

Keep to your right and head up the South Downs Way. Picture above. To the top of Bignor Hill

The path now starts to drop down hill as the picture on the left. Further along you will see below you a barn as the picture above. You will be going past this.

The South Downs Way now turns sharp left as the picture on the left and there is a steep drop down to the barn. Picture on the right

Carry on past the barn and the path bears to your right going up hill again. Keep going until you see the footpath on your right. Picture on the right From this point you may see cars coming up the A29 towards Bury Hill across the field. Turn right here

Path back to the car park

Keep to this path all the way to the trees as the picture on your left. At the end turn left and then right before you reach the road into the car park and your car.
