This walk takes you from the village of Graffham at the foot of the north side of the South Downs through Seaford college grounds and the Lavington horse stud
On the A 285 just past Duncton traveling towards Petworth take the minor road on your left for Graffham. At the crossroads turn left signposted for Graffham and follow this road to the church at the foot of the downs. This is an ideal walk for an evening stroll or if you want to keep out of the mud for a change.

Go just past the church and park on the
left hand side of the road. Head through the gateway picture on left and
continue up the road. Picture on the right |

To your right is the steep north face
of the South Downs. Carry on past the entrance to the Lavington horse
stud. By now you may have seen some of the horses in the fields to your
left |

Eventually you see the college buildings
in the picture on the left. At the gate across this road turn left and
follow the track in the picture on the right |

At the next junction turn left and carry
on through the gate in the picture on the right. Carry on up this road
going past a small stable block to the next junction |

road and turn left back to your car |

The blue routes on the map are extensions to this walk the first one taking the road to Upper Norwood and then taking the bridal way across to Graffham village and then walking through the village back to your car.
The other one just takes you to the same road and is just a small addition to the walk
